The Academy of Hospitality and Tourism (AOHT) prepares high school students to excel in college and compete in the global workforce. The field of hospitality and tourism is one of the world's largest industries and DC's fastest-growing one.
The Academy of Hospitality and Tourism is a member of the National Academy Foundation (NAF) network, which is part of a national movement where scholars can learn, achieve, and advance as a professional along a chosen career path, i.e. hotel owner, travel agent, human resources associate, restaurant owner, general manager, marketing director, and meeting and event planner. The AOHT will engage students by using Hospitality and Customer Service as a lens through which everyday problems are analyzed, approached and solved.
The Academy of Hospitality and Tourism has a strong advisory committee made up of hospitality and tourism industry partners, including: Courtyard by Marriott Convention Center, Hotel Association of Washington, DC, Hilton Worldwide, Marriott, The Hay-Adams Hotel, FiestaDC, Drape King, BW Enterprise, Georgetown University, and George Washington University.
